Os verbos SER e ESTAR = verbo TO BE
Verbo SER - to express a kind of more "permanent" and "fixed" situations. Things and situations that do not change never or not change very often.
Exemplos:
Você é aluna - you are student - (female)
Eu sou mãe - I am mother
Eles são irlandeses - they are irish
Minha casa é aqui - My house is here
Verbo ESTAR - to express situation more temporary ; not fixed, that can change more frequentely.
Exemplos:
Você está triste - you are sad
Eu estou com frio - I am cold
Elas estão na praia - They ae on the beach
O lápis está na mesa - The pencil is on the table

- Belly Dancer, Choreographer and Instructor Juliana Menezes, a 30 year old brazilian dancer, actress, teacher and journalist, has started dancing when she was only one year and a half, and since then she couldn't stop doing it. She has experienced many types of dance as Ballet, Jazz, African, Tango, Lambada, Axé, Salsa, Pagode, Samba, Street dance and Ballroom but no one has enchanted her more then Belly Dancing. She has been studying and performing it for over fourteen years, doing shows, teaching and coordinating groups in Brazil, Australia, Ireland and Singapore.
